Summary:
A quiet, secluded tent cabin is perched on 15 lovely acres between a one acre pond and the Little Delaware river, a public fishing stream. The 15 acre site is situated on a paved road. Nearby a miniature golf course as well as the Delhi Golf Course seven miles down the road. . Trade the noise and polution of the big city for a few quiet days or night among the sounds, sights and smells of nature. Camp alongside a quiet one acre pond where you can just meditate or fish to your heart's content amid a natural paradise rife with wildlife native to the area. A great place to relax and refresh your mind. Set up your tripod or painter's easel and get creative. A nature photographers dream site. Build a fire or barbecue in the fire pit. Firewood is provided. Dogs are welcome. Site can accomodate addiitonal guests via a small pop-up tent and/or a comfortable fold-out cot.
Guests should provide bedding for your own comfort, although extra blankets can be made available.
Cyclists can be seen on many of the quieter nearby roads. A fire pit is available for babequing, should you want to cook a meal, or you may want to go to any number of nearby restaurants, including Russels Lunch cafe down the street in Bovina Center (open weekends).
Hiking trailhead is located near the town or Margaretville.
No fishing license or masks required at the campsite. (Fishing poles available.)
Road is paved up to the campsite property.
The Space:
Less than 200 miles from New York City. Just 45 miles from Woodstock. Seven miles from the Delhi golf Course as well as a miniature golf course right down the road.
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.
What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
-Water
Other Things to Note:
Site must be kept clean and trash removed on leaving. Wildlife must be kept wild and should not fed or approached. Food must be kept in secure containers. Parking a short distance from campsite; campkeeper will help move your belongings to the tent. Wifi is available outside on the porch of the nearby campkeeper's house.
The frog population helps keep mosquitos at a minimum, but insect repellant is recommended.
Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
