Halfway up the mountain your private, wooded campsite is located in front of a seasonal pond for your swimming and viewing pleasure, surrounded by oak, birch and hemlock trees. Deer roam free and many types of birds fill the woods and sky in this tranquil forest paradise. Centrally located within 15 minutes of the bustling villages of both Saugerties and Woodstock, this tent is the perfect base camp to access all that this region has to offer. There are countless flea markets and farmers markets on the weekends, and numerous restaurants in the area should you decide to venture out for a bite to eat. Kaaterskill Falls and Indian Head Wilderness are 20-25 minutes away, with plenty of trails to choose from for hiking. Take a 30-minute drive to Phoenicia for Tube Rentals, and float down the Esopus Creek, soaking in all of the natural beauty of this landscape - or simply stay put, relax, unwind, and experience what it is like to be Nestled in the Mountain.
The Space:
Campsite within 15 minutes of both Woodstock and Saugerties Villages surrounded by 15 acres of beautiful woods with trails and pond.
Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature!
Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night.
Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation.
Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.
Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling
-Bedding and pillows
-Lanterns and lighting
-Firewood for the campfire
Other Things to Note:
You MUST READ & acknowledge these terms in writing before booking is confirmed:
1) This is a Carry In/Carry Out campsite. It will be exactly as prior campers left it - Please leave the site as you found it & would like to find it next time!
2) 2-night minimum.
3) Pets are welcome but please, you must clean up after them!
4) DO NOT rely on GPS for directions, please follow these: Set GPS for 10 Charles Hommel Rd. Once you are on CH Rd continue up the mountain for 1 mile. Turn right at the corner with signs that include 266 >. Go to the end of the road and take the middle path (you cannot see a house), you will pass a field with a shipping container on the right, continue and follow signs for 266, You will see a road sign which indicates that 266 is to the right. Your site is again the middle path, there is a Cardinal (bird) sign with a green arrow and 2 orange Tentrr arrows pointing the way.
5) Please bring your own sheets and pillows
6) The pond is about 8ft deep in the center. Please enjoy it along with all the other wildlife!
7) If you anticipate needing to use the propane heater please bring a (or several) 16oz refill/s as we are unable to tell if the ones we provided have been used or not.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property.
If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper’s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!
Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable).
