A super spacious FOUR room comfortable cozy getaway with swimming pool (seasonal) awaits at this characterful 1880’s Homestead on 14 peaceful acres. Set on the hills above Canandaigua Lake and an array of amenities/attractions in Canandaigua and Naples, lake access just down the hill. Thoughtfully apportioned annex to provide an ENTIRELY DEDICATED 2-story space with it’s own entrance, outdoor seating area, lawns, trails and campfire. Combine remote working with a getaway. Sanitized, super-clean, sanctuary ideal for a couple!
Situated on an old Homestead built in the 1880’s, the Farmhouse Annex offers very spacious two story accommodation designed with a country cottage feel, and provides an entirely separate accommodation adjoining the main farmhouse. The annex comprises: private entrance with August Smart Lock for convenient check-in. An open concept reception, dining and well-equipped kitchenette on the first floor and master bedroom, living room and a full bathroom on the second floor. Right outside is a dedicated patio seating area with grill, surrounded by pretty lawns, trees and shrubs. Guests are welcome to enjoy the swimming pool (open seasonally) and a dedicated picnic and campfire area for guests of the Farmhouse Annex to enjoy. Additionally, there are approximately 3 acres of lawns and a pretty wooded trail surrounding the lawns of approximately 0.6 miles in distance.
The Farmhouse Annex as a perfect spot to combine a relaxing getaway with keeping up to date with work commitments. Plenty of space and ready made entertainment with the pool for those not working and a very good fiber-optic internet meshed system to work remotely and join Zoom meetings for those who are. Commute time from this remote ‘office’ to the pool is approximately 45 seconds if you are on go-slow vacation mode.
The 14 acre property consists of just two dwellings, the main farmhouse with attached Farmhouse Annex and The Little House, our other cottage rental - perfect for extended families or two families wishing to vacation together.
A great base from which to explore, secluded and peaceful yet not isolated - even well known Heron Hill Winery’s Tasting Room is right on the same road as us and in summer many of our guests choose to walk there. We are almost equidistant between Canandaigua to the north and Naples to the south with many great amenities, activities, attractions and restaurants to choose from. We have some excellent ‘tried and tested’ recommendations (by ourselves and previous guests) for day and evening experiences and for all paces of getaway desired.
The annex is perfect for guests who largely wish to take a break from ‘proper cooking’ and spend their getaway indulging in the region’s wonderful selection of restaurants, yet have the ability to prepare light meals in the well-equipped Kitchenette. There is also an outdoor grill available in summer to cook up an alfresco culinary feast! The Kitchenette has a brand new Cuisinart Digital Air Fryer Oven, Double Burner Cooktop, Microwave, Small Fridge Freezer, Toaster, Pod Coffee Maker, Kettle. (Please note: there is no conventional oven or conventional stove top). Pans, Utensils, Glassware, Dinnerware, Silverware are provided along with Aluminum, Plastic Wrap and Kitchen Towels.
Sleeps 2. Can accommodate a child on the futon in the living room adjacent to the master bedroom. Please inquire. Small extra nightly charge applies.
We continue to implement even more rigorous cleaning and sanitizing to our already well reviewed ‘sparkling clean’ cleaning practices. The pool (in summer) is really the only area that might have occasion to be shared with our other rental, The Little House. In the instance that the guests of the annex and the cottage use the pool at the same time, the pool and surrounding area is certainly spacious enough to enjoy very easily and safely. We have plenty of sun beds/seating/sun umbrellas at each opposite end of the pool and all high touch areas are routinely sanitized. We absolutely want our guests to feel safe, confident, comfortable and relaxed about their getaway and we do all that we can to put everyone’s minds at ease.
