Villa Eleonore is an elegant town-house with a private heated pool set in a walled Moroccan Riad-style courtyard garden with original stonework, conveniently located a short walk to restaurants, shops and a weekly market in the authentic historic bastide town of Monsegur, SW France.
Set over 3 floors, the living space is on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor and bedroom 4 and the TV snug are on the top floor. The whole property has been newly refurbished to a very high standard with modern fittings, insulation and double-glazed windows, whilst keeping original features and charm with wooden beams and exposed stone walls.
Immerse yourself in the typically French town of Monsegur which was founded in the 13th century by Eleanor of Aquitaine.
The town square is set around a market hall and surrounded by covered stone arcades which have a selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants. There is also a small yet comprehensive supermarket on the outskirts of Monsegur just 800m from Villa Eleonore.
Bedrooms and shower rooms: Accommodating up to 10 guests (a maximum of 8 adults and up to 4 children).
4 bedrooms with a flexible option in the upper floor TV snug for extra sleeping space if required. All bedrooms are equipped with a room fan and each shower room has a hairdryer.
3 shower rooms and 3 wc's in total, 2 of the wc's are separate. One shower room and a separate wc are on the ground floor.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1, Chambre Palmier: Accessed via its separate staircase and the mezzanine, the master bedroom is a double room (180x200cm) at the front of the house and has a feature stone fireplace and arched recess with a TV. En-suite shower room with walk-in shower, wash basin and wc.
Bedroom 2, La Chambre des Arbres: Accessed via the main staircase, is a double room (160x200cm) at the front of the house and elegantly decorated in neutral colours with a feature wall above the bed.
Bedroom 3, La Chambre Ginkgo: Accessed via the main staircase, a double room (160x200cm) at the back of the house with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool. Decorated in a soothing white and green palette with a feature wall above the bed.
Second Floor:
Bedroom 4, La Chambre Douillette: Accessed via the main staircase, 2 single beds (90x200cm) with the added flexibility of a pull-out sofa bed (mattress 80x200cm or pulled out is 160x200cm).
TV Snug: A further pull-out sofa bed (mattress 80x200cm or pulled out is 160x200cm), next to bedroom 4.
Bedrooms 2, 3, 4 and the TV snug share a shower room and a separate wc, situated between rooms 2 and 3 on the first floor.
A 3rd shower room is on the ground floor next to a separate wc.
Bedroom 1 has its own shower and wc.
Baby facilities: One travel cot and a high chair are available on request. Please take your cot linen.
Kitchen: The contemporary kitchen is well stocked with crockery, a dishwasher, electric oven, induction hob with 4 rings and a built-in extractor, a microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, Nespresso pod coffee machine, Krups coffee grinder, juicer and a blender.
Utility room: Part of the ground floor shower room there is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Living rooms and dining: The house is wet over 3 floors with 3 separate living areas.
The dining room is open to the kitchen with a dining table and chairs seating up to 10 guests. The front door opens onto the street.

Office Desk: A desk is situated in the dining room. There is high-speed fibre broadband/ Wi-Fi and lots of information about places to visit during your stay. There is also a good mobile phone signal.
The courtyard garden and the private pool: Moroccan Riad-style courtyard garden offers a tranquil haven to relax on sun loungers and deck chairs around the private 4.5x2.5m heated chlorine pool with an alarm, a seating ledge is within the pool on all sides, perfect to sit and relax, the depth is 1.4m.
There is an outside shower next to the pool. The owners have thoughtfully provided 2 life jackets for small children.
An external dining table and chairs outside the kitchen provide a lovely space for al fresco dining. A large parasol is provided for shade.
A sunken terrace outside the living room has a rattan-style sofa and chairs and a Weber gas BBQ.
Garage area: There is an additional fridge freezer in the garage area, lots of storage space for your cycles or baby buggy maybe.
Note: the garage is not suitable for parking. There is parking on the street and car parks around the town, it's a small town, all parking is free.
