The space
This farmhouse was built circa 1906 and has been in the family for 4 generations. Surrounding the house are farmer's fields that are bursting with fresh crops! Enjoy 4+ acres of open grass, fresh fruits from the orchard, and views of a barn, silos and a windmill. The space is perfect for picnics, walking, picking fruits, sitting by the fire, or just relaxing and taking in the country scenery.
This large, country farmhouse is just 10 minutes from Rochester, 20 minutes from Logansport, and 45 minutes from Warsaw or Kokomo. Lake Manitou, Wynona Lake and South Mud Lake are all close by, as well as several golf courses such as Round Barn and the Elks. Our home is a perfect half- way point between Indianapolis and South Bend. This is an excellent spot (and cheaper place) to stay if you are traveling to Notre Dame games. We are also about 1.5 hours from Indiana Dunes National Park and Lakeshore.
Our home is an ideal location for families or groups of friends. We can accommodate about 10 guests: three queen size beds, two twin beds, one pack n play, one couch, and one air mattress.
Additionally, we have plenty of pet amenities so that you can bring along your furry family member: dog beds, disposable dog bowls, stainless steel dog bowls, dog treats, two large dog crates, a fenced in kennel area in the side yard, etc.
Inside, you will enjoy original molding, trim, woodwork, hardwood floors, lighting and structure of the original home. However, many upgrades have also been made such as a newly renovated full bathroom, LVP flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, some windows, AC units, paint, furnishings, appliances, roofing, firepit, etc. Our home as all NEW mattresses, linens, towels, pillows. The outside is still a work in progress and we will continue chipping away at outdoor renos.
The kitchen is fully furnished with all of the supplies needed to make a home- cooked meal for you and your family. There is a stove, oven, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, air fryer, keurig coffee maker and coffee supplies, pots and pans, dinnerware, drinkware, tableware, spices and cooking oils, as well as an original farmhouse sink.
For now, the dining room has a circular table that seats four at a time. However, the dining room is connected to the kitchen and living room for a shared dining experience. A goal of ours is to purchase a larger, farmhouse style table to accommodate at least eight people.
The living room is cozy and includes a couch, loveseat and a recliner. There is a smart TV so that you can log in to Netflix, Hulu, etc. and watch your favorite show or a family- friendly movie.
Three upstairs bedrooms include a new queen size bed, fresh linens, a smart TV, and an old gaming system. There are also power strips so that you can charge your devices. Extra pillows are located in the closets of the bedrooms. Extra pillowcases are in the cabinet in the upstairs hallway.

Wood-burning grill is attached to the fire pit. Relax and enjoy a cozy fire in the fire pit that is surrounded by sand and tiki torches. Some chairs are provided and are on the back porch. Wood provided.
The front porch features an office space with an antique roll- top desk, a recliner, loveseat, and a custom bookshelf that is full of reading delights. There are also children's toys and books located on top of the bookshelves.
Wifi is included.
Guest access
You will have access to a relaxed country setting, orchard full of fresh fruits, 4+ acres to walk and explore, and a sandy fire pit to relax around in the evening.
There is a plethora of parking spots available.
Other things to note
All bedrooms for guests are located upstairs on the second floor.
AC window units throughout the home.
The bedroom with two single beds does not have electrical outlets in the walls but it does have an overhead light.
Children are of course welcome; however, electrical outlets, kitchen cabinets, bathrooms, and stairways are not child-proofed.
New Cosco pack n play is available (listed as “crib” in bedroom #1). It is located in the closet of bedroom #1. The pack n play does not include a bassinet attachment. There are two sets of sheets for the pack n play and they are also located in the closet in zip lock baggies to ensure cleanliness.
We provide a “starter” amount of toilet paper for each bathroom as well as laundry detergent pods.
Due to the farm being run off of well water, the toilets may have brown streaks in them… they are not dirty… it is from rust. We use special water softener salt and chemicals in the toilets but we can’t always control the rust.
There is a $7 per person per night fee when more than four people stay to help cover for cleaning and supplies.
**Room behind pocket doors off of the living room is off limits. This room is video monitored.
No “unregistered” overnight guests. Per AirBNB’s guidelines, only registered guests are covered by insurance.
We do use an exterior RING doorbell for home security and guest count checks. It is located at the guest entrance (back door of the home).
No smoking or vaping (anything) in the home. There will be an extra cleaning charge applied for smoke/fumes and/or cigarette butts found on the property.
Parties and events are prohibited due to insurance regulations.
Please no eating or drinking in the beds.
Do not use the premises or amenities for any illegal activity.
Please leave muddy or wet shoes on the back porch.
Please let me know if you accidentally broke or damaged something so that I can arrange for replacement or repair.
Our House Manager takes detailed inventory and photographs after each departure. If it’s missing or broken, expect to see a charge.
