As such, those in certain like-minded circles tend to gravitate toward offering authentic accommodations to reflect this. The Little White Cottage is one such place. Centrally located with a spacious yard: this 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath, cottage-style house is the perfect home base for exploring our little city and mingling with the locals.
I’m happy to interact with guests as much or as little as they like. My top priorities are guest privacy and space to make their vacation their own. Centrally located within the heart of Missoula's eclectic 'Franklin to the Fort'' district - a residential and commercial neighborhood with pretty, walkable streets, parks, pedestrian and bike trails. Bike or walk on the Milwaukee Trail 1.5 miles to Old Sawmill Districk, Clark Fork River Trail, Montana Natural History Center, and Downtown. Ultra convenient to The Good Food Store, Dog & Bicycle Cafe, Brio Fitness, Cambie TapHouse, Silver Park, and Ogren Park at Allegiance Field.
Guests have access to the entire house and yard spaces. No area is shared - it's all yours!
At 680 square feet, this house is small in stature, perhaps, but big on character.
The layout is a nice use of space that feels roomy in the right places.
The living room delightfully surprises with a pretty tongue & grooved wood-paneled vaulted ceiling line, a bayed window, and original oak hardwood floors.
In the 2 bedrooms, the focus is on comfort - quality queen mattresses are encased in cool, clean linens to give you the quality sleep you need to feel rested and ready to take full advantage of all of Missoula's best during your days spent exploring.
The bathroom is flooded with natural light from above. Skylight, bright walls, white subway tiles and a curved glass shower stall make this important room feel spacious and clean.
The kitchen is warm, inviting and features clever storage. Quartz countertops, a gas range and maple cabinetry. Stocked with everything to satisfy a traveling home chef.
The fully fenced grounds are nicely shaded and embraced by soaring maple trees and offer several outdoor lounging opportunities.
The house is located in the heart of the Franklin to Fort district, on S Johnson Street, and is ideal for the traveler looking to be in a prime action packed location close to everything the city has to offer. You can expect to hear sounds of the city and its residents while staying here - including schoolchildren, baseball games, neighborhood BBQ's and gatherings, cars, music, etc.
There is private, off-street parking for 2 vehicles in front of the garage, and ample street parking in front of the house as well.
We are happy to accommodate one well-mannered dog, upon approval, with the addition of a $100 pet fee.

The Little White Cottage is ideally situated for those who want to be centrally located with a lean toward the Clark Fork River trails and downtown. Downtown Missoula, the Hip Strip, the Clark Fork River, Blue Mountain, Pattee Canyon and Mount Sentinel are all within a 30 minute, 10 minute bike/bus or 5 minute drive to downtown. Missoula is a very bike friendly city, and there are several bike shops that offer bike rentals for cruising the city or for getting out on some of Missoula's fantastic mountain bike trails. The public bus system is free to ride, and there is a bus stop located just feet from the house which can take you virtually anywhere you'd like to go within the city. Uber also operates in Missoula.
