THE CYPRESS
In the farmhouse there are two apartments for rent. The "il Cipresso" Apartment (70m2) has, on the ground floor, two double bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom with shower; upstairs a living room with fireplace and sofa bed. Extra single beds and cots are available on request.
The apartment has a private garden equipped for eating out.

Please note that this is a country house and therefore does not have the peculiarities of a luxury residence or a hotel.
The origin of the farmhouse dates back to the 11th-12th century, which means that when St. Francis came here on a pilgrimage, stopping at the place where the convent "La Scarzuola" was founded, he met this house along his way.
The large equipped garden, with different areas for relaxation, is shared with the guests of the other apartment and sometimes with the owners. It is surrounded by woods and pastures, has a swimming pool (m10x6), wood-burning oven with barbeque and children's play area (a 4.30 m diameter trampoline with protective net, ping pong table, table football, etc.) .
A part of the farmhouse is inhabited by the owners who are always available for any information or request.
Like most of the country houses, the last kilometers to reach the property are of dirt road, about 4 km, passable by any car.
Dogs are welcome. We have a very sweet and affectionate golden retriever who lives with us. If your presence is not welcome, we can keep it at home and avoid contact.
The farmhouse is located about 150 km from Rome and Florence, 3 km from the medieval village of Montegiove (castle from the 1200s), about 10 km (15/20 minutes) from Montegabbione and Fabro Scalo (A1 highway, railway station, supermarkets, banks, post offices, restaurants, sports centers, tennis courts, distributors, etc.).
It is located in a strategic position to visit the most important cities and places of central Italy, especially in Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio. 20 km from Città della Pieve; about 30 km from Chiusi and S. Casciano dei Bagni; 40 km from Orvieto, Perugia, Lake Trasimeno (beaches, water sports, boarding for the islands); 50 km from Todi, Assisi, Montepulciano, Civita di Bagnoregio and Lake Bolsena; 80 km from Siena and Viterbo; 100 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea and the incredible "Cascate delle Marmore" (the highest in Europe) where rafting is possible.
The area is also particularly suitable for pleasant and interesting walks, as there are numerous nature trails and the farmhouse is an excellent starting point for visiting sites of significant historical, naturalistic and cultural interest. In a few minutes on foot (less than 1 km) you can reach "La Scarzuola", a Franciscan monastery founded in 1218 next to which the architect Tommaso Buzzi built an incredible and fascinating architectural complex, "The ideal city". At 3 km there is an important archaeological site, a Lombard necropolis and a "castelliere", an ancient fortified stone enclosure. Also at 3 km, near Castel di Fiori, with a pleasant hike in the woods, you reach beautiful natural pools with waterfalls where you can swim. At 5 km near Parrano, a picturesque and well-preserved medieval village perched around its castle, there are the Tane del Diavolo ", a spectacular gorge (where it is possible to practice canyoning) with splendid natural caves of particular archaeological interest and swimming pool spa.
Since the house is a bit isolated and a few kilometers from the nearest countries, it is essential to have a car.
The nearest train station is about 10 km away, in Fabro scalo.
The nearest airport is in Perugia, "Sant'Egidio", about 60 km away.
Fiumicino airport, in Rome, is about 150 km away.
