The Athena Resort is located in Kamarina, in south-eastern Sicily, and is the only village within the "Oriented Natural Reserve of the Aleppo Pine", in the area of the ancient Greek city, a short distance from the archaeological site of Kamarina, one of the most important in Sicily.
The Village is located on a hill overlooking the sea between Scoglitti and Santa Croce Camerina, it is a purely summer village, the tourist activities begin on 13 April 2024 and end on 28 September 2024. From the end of September onwards, there is no functioning activity (swimming pool, bar, restaurant, beach lido, bazaar, newsagent, tobacconist, hotel, reception), there are only about 20 families living there at all times. Given the distance from the first town (Scoglitti - 4 km), it is obligatory to have a car for getting around, shopping or anything else.
The Athena Resort is located in the territory of Ragusa, in one of the municipalities of the Val di Noto (in 2002, it was included among the Italian sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List for its splendid late baroque cities, the eight baroque cities of the valley: Caltagirone, Militello in Val di Catania, Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo, Ragusa and Scicli).
We are also ideally placed to visit the Greek city of Syracuse, Gela and Agrigento, the Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina, the local cuisine and fresh fish in Scoglitti (a fishing village), taste chocolate in Modica, visit the places of Commissioner Montalbano (Punta Secca km.14 Montalbano's House), the Donnafugata Castle only 8 km away, the Randello reserve only 4 km away (an equipped pinewood with free access to the golden sandy beach), the seafront of Scoglitti with several km of golden beaches where every afternoon (from Monday to Friday) fishermen moor their boats at the small harbour and sell the day's catch by the box, or stay inside the Village to live in total relaxation in the midst of nature, taking advantage of the comforts of home and the facilities offered by the village.
We are in an area kissed by the sun and the sea, with a golden sandy coastline and child-friendly seabed. Lots of Culture mixed with Arab, Greek, Norman History, Art Tradition and the Flavours of Mediterranean Cuisine
The Houses:
casavacanzekastalia 2 'La Rossa': - Flat with 6 beds, located on the first floor, consists of - large living room kitchen with balcony facing south (from where you can see the sea) with a double sofa bed, kitchen complete with 4 burners, electric oven, fridge with freezer dishwasher, complete with pots and pans and dishes for cooking and cleaning, digital TV, coffee machine, microwave, toaster, iron and ironing board, hoover, air conditioning/heat pump, everything you need to live well in winter and summer. - The double bedroom, equipped with digital TV, air conditioning/heat pump, balcony on the car park side, mosquito nets, safe inside the wardrobe; - another room with 2 single beds (if necessary they can be joined together and make them into a double bed) with a window on the car park side equipped with mosquito nets; complete bathroom with shower, hairdryer and washing machine available.
WI-FI PORTATILE available, equipped with batteries, to take with you to visit the most beautiful places in Sicily. -
Private brick barbecue and small iron barbecue in the private car park under the house. -
The flat is 2 steps away from the hotel, the Olympic swimming pool, the mini-club and the shuttle bus stop to the private beach. -
Inside the village always available at only mt.200 the tennis courts, the children's playground and then the pine forest with other children's playgrounds together with the minigolf and the football fields. -
Many other car parks available. -
Inside the village there are always tennis courts, football pitches and a pine forest with outdoor games for children, even in winter (but without lighting). -
From 28 April (minimum services - ask before booking) to 31 May you can use the village's services by means of a club card to be paid for on the spot, while from June to September the cost of club cards is included in the rates displayed. From June there are the tourist hotel activities in full swing, those who come to stay at our house enjoy all the services that an Alpitour International Tourist Village can offer (access to the private beach equipped with bar and restaurant with free use of deckchairs and beach umbrellas, shuttle service included), access and use of the Olympic swimming pool, use of mini and junior club, all daily entertainment activities and evening shows with group dances final......... The village always has a 24-hour concierge for entry, maximum security inside the village and total privacy. -
From October onwards inside the Holiday Village, there are no tourist hotel activities, no other activities available, so even if the house is equipped with all the comforts to live well both in summer and winter, for the bar, supermarkets pizzerias, restaurants, banks etc.... you can go to the town of Scoglitti just 4 km from the Holiday Village. You therefore need a car to get around.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON PRICES
Casavacanzekastalia inside the Villaggio Turistico Athena Resort Ragusa: The holiday home. We can accommodate up to 18 people because we have 2 other houses inside the village. Rates are customised and discounted according to duration and number of occupants. IMPORTANT TO KNOW : Binding condition - from June to September we only accept bookings for weekly periods or multiples of a week with entry and exit on Saturdays only. Other bookings are not accepted. For all other periods of the year, we also accept rentals and bookings for short periods. The longer the booking periods, the greater the discounts. Reservations are accepted with at least 2 days' notice. The rates, only for the period from 13 April to 31 May, do not include club cards to take advantage of the services offered by the resort as they are optional. From June to September they are always included in the rates for 5 people because they are compulsory.
